Days 9-12
<p>Staying productive is hard but...</p><p>I am trying.</p><p>Sometimes with absolutely no idea what I'm doing.</p><p>But I'm trying.</p><p>And there is something beautiful about becoming someone you don't constantly need to escape from.</p><p>I have been good company.</p><p>I feel quieter around myself. I can be anxious without letting the anxiety swallow me. I can be angry and still be thoughtful. I can be sad without deciding that the whole day has to be sad with me. I don't immediately reach for my phone, or a movie, or a distraction or anything that might help me forget what is happening inside me for a little while. </p><p>I sit with myself. </p><p>I listen. </p><p>And I am beginning to feel safe here.</p><p>I have difficult days. I get overwhelmed. I have moments when giving up sounds wonderfully peaceful. But I now find reasons to stay. Everything that I am. Everything that makes me laugh. Every new thing I could learn. Every beautiful thing I have yet to see. Every beautiful thing I could be. </p><p>I am proud. </p><p>My fingers get sore from trying to get the movements right. I've had headaches from spending hours researching and writing. I've drawn things that made me blush with pride and embarrassment. I've stared at things I couldn't quite figure out. I've confronted things I would rather keep buried.</p><p>But the days pass, and I am true to myself, and honest with myself, and keep my own promises, and so I am proud.</p><p><br/></p><p>•••</p><p><br/></p><p>I don't have much to say.
