<p><em>I was fine before you made me wonder if I wasn't</em></p><p><em>You said you loved me, but I now think you didn't</em></p><p><em>Maybe I mistook the way you wanted me for the way you loved me</em></p><p><em>And now I'm here, second-guessing conversations and promises you made to me,</em></p><p><em>wondering if you meant them then, or if I was just too hopeful to see</em></p><p><em>Wondering if I was just stupid or too attached to notice</em></p><p><em>And maybe I knew all along, but I loved you too much to believe it</em></p><p><em>Now, I'm too broken to love again cause somehow my heart still aches for you</em></p><p><em>And the worst part is, I still wish you were the one holding the pieces you left behind</em></p><p><em>And I hate that a part of me still hopes you'll come back and make it all make sense</em></p><p><em>But each time you come back, you end up leaving and I don't seem to understand why</em></p><p><em>Maybe you never came back for me, you only came back because you knew I'd still be waiting</em></p><p><em>But still I welcome you with open arms and an open heart</em></p><p><em>Even knowing you'd leave again, I still made room for you like you'd never left</em></p><p><em>I guess it's just hope that each time would be different and would maybe last forever like you promised</em></p><p><em>But every forever you promised me became another goodbye I had to learn to survive.</em></p>
