Imposter Syndrome
<p>I keep waiting for someone to realize</p><p>I was never supposed to be here.</p><p>Or am I really meant to be here?</p><p>Maybe that’s the question</p><p>I’ve been too afraid to ask.</p><p><br/></p><p>I really don't understand because.....</p><p>Some days I feel like me and other days I feel like I'm somebody else.</p><p>Some days, I wear my name like it belongs to me,</p><p>and other days, it feels like a borrowed identity.</p><p><br/></p><p>Feeling like a total stranger in my own body,</p><p>like I’m living in a life I know by heart,</p><p>but somehow don’t recognize.</p><p>This isn't me, or is it?</p><p>Maybe I’ve spent so long</p><p>trying to become who I thought I should be,</p><p>that I forgot to ask who I wanted to become.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe every version of me</p><p>is still me</p><p>even the one I don’t recognize,</p><p>even the one I keep trying to hide.</p><p><br/></p><p>It feels like two different souls</p><p>Coexisting in the same body</p><p>fighting over the same heartbeat,</p><p>both convinced the other one</p><p>doesn't belong.</p><p><br/></p><p>The question isn't who wins,</p><p>but who truly belongs</p><p>and what if the answer</p><p>has always been both?</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe I was never meant</p><p>to choose between them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe I was meant to learn</p><p>that I can be soft and uncertain,</p><p>ambitious and afraid,</p><p>confident and still questioning,</p><p>all without becoming a stranger to myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe I don't have to know</p><p>which version of me is the real one.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe I am all of them. </p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe the person</p><p>I've been calling an imposter</p><p>is just me...</p><p>still learning</p><p>how to belong</p><p>to myself.</p>
