“Good morning, Tony.” What do you think?
<p>You know the current trend, yeah? </p><p>A young woman stood before one of Nigeria’s most prominent businessmen and began, “Good morning, Tony.” But before she could continue, Tony Elumelu stopped her.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>“You won’t call me Tony. You’ll call me Mr Elumelu or TOE,” adding that he did not subscribe to what he called the “Oyinbo life.” The young woman immediately adjusted. “Good morning, Mr Elumelu,” and continued with her question.</p><p><br/></p><p>The exchange lasted only a few seconds. But as you know, the internet turned it into a national debate. </p><p>Now, there are many sides to this, which I’m not here to talk about yet. Because I’m confused too.. maybe I’ll share my TwoCents on this subject next. </p><p><br/></p><p>But please, tell me.. </p><p>What do you think about this?</p><p>What’s your perspective?</p><p>Was the lady wrong? Was Mr Elumelu wrong? Were they both right? Or both wrong? </p><p>Why will you pick the side you pick?</p><p><br/></p><p>Honestly, I’m just curious. Because the whole thing is alarming.
