If I was never born
<p><br/></p><p>“Sleep is good , death is better, but off course the best would be never to have been born “</p><p>I saw this quote online and it hit me </p><p>It hit me but not to deeply at that time</p><p>Till at night when I evaluated the issues at hand </p><p>Financially, is bulky enough </p><p>Not to talk of emotionally and mentally </p><p>The fact that I have always been one to look forward to a rest </p><p>To look forward to a moment of peace </p><p>But after a milestone comes another </p><p><br/></p><p>Some years back I slept till I was tired </p><p>Sleeping was my getaway mechanism </p><p>At least it helped me feign peace </p><p>I would be unaware at the reality I dwell in </p><p>Sleeping like a baby </p><p>But truly…truly … we all become immune overtime </p><p>Not that I no longer use sleep to getaway </p><p>Just that everything becomes more overwhelming with sleep </p><p>It becomes evidence that my plan to runaway from reality was a failure </p><p>It becomes evidence that maybe sleep doesn’t give me peace no more</p><p>Yeah maybe a little silence in my head but not peace </p><p><br/></p><p>So now I just wish I never existed to begin with </p><p>“We all have a purpose… we all have a purpose…” </p><p>Yet we strive to get to know that purpose </p><p>Everything becomes war</p><p>Eating, sleeping, reading, thinking, hoping, living, even breathing </p><p>Fighting our battles hand in hand with our problems </p><p>So it hurts me and I’m sure it hurts the people who bore me </p><p>“Should I have stopped at first, the second, the third… “ they’d ask </p><p>It might be our battles for now, yet it gnaws at my soul </p><p>What about when it becomes my battle, would I survive? </p><p>“I wish I was never born “ I’d say</p><p>And maybe not </p>
