<p>Episode-2</p><p><br/></p><p>After all my singing to the electric pole, all my "no more drinking water after 6pm", I even bowed to the grinding stone. It still happened. I still wet my bed.</p><p><br/></p><p>And yes, it got that bad. So bad it penetrated to the other side of the mattress, leaking...</p><p><br/></p><p>I woke up wet, yet again...</p><p><br/></p><p>And the voice came: _"I will come to your school and put this bed on your head, in front of your friends on assembly, and they will sing for you."_</p><p><br/></p><p>Not the first time I've been threatened. But I kept looking at the school gate throughout assembly. I definitely didn't want that.</p><p><br/></p><p>Humiliating...</p><p><br/></p><p>I remember a birthday party I attended. We had to sleep over because it was far. We were up to 10 in that room. I made promises I can't even remember just to pass through the night. I remember when I woke, the first thing I did was touch myself. The relief to wake up dry... hmmmm. Short-lived, at least for now.</p><p><br/></p><p>To protect the bed from me, my mother bought something. I don't know what to call that fabric. But I remember it was called a mackintosh. _(that rubbery sheet)_</p><p><br/></p><p>It did its work. I remember waking up to my whole cloth soaked. It made it easier to identify the culprit.</p><p><br/></p><p>_"At your age"_ was one statement that made me want to enter the ground.</p><p><br/></p><p>It made me think...</p><p><br/></p><p>My mother taught me a trick. Whenever it happens, just take a piece of cloth, fold it, place it on that spot and sleep on it.</p><p><br/></p><p>She didn't like it, but she loved me.</p><p>The trick wasn't encouragement, but a backup.</p><p><br/></p><p>I got through this phase. But that's a story for another day...</p>
