“Men will be men” has excused too much disrespect.

The Andrew marriage saga has made me realise how much society excuses men for cheating.

I’ve seen comments like, “She should count herself lucky,” “Men will always cheat,”

But why?

If you propose to a woman because you want to spend your life with her, why continue dating other women?

You will always meet someone more beautiful than your wife. You will always meet someone more handsome than your husband. That is life.

But attraction is not an excuse to disrespect your partner. At some point, you have to choose self-control and respect.

I’ve seen a man change women like wrappers, yet people still call one particular woman his “main babe.”

Main babe for what? 😭

If everybody around you knows your partner is constantly disrespecting the relationship, what exactly are you winning?

And I really dislike the “men will be men” narrative.

Men can say no. Women can say no. People make choices.

As for the woman involved, I actually like that she didn't turn everything into a social media series.

Not every relationship problem needs a camera.

If she wants to leave, let her leave.

If she wants to stay, let her stay.

Either way, the decision is hers.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do after a public relationship problem is take your life back offline.

The internet will move on.

You are the one who has to live with the decision.
