MR. HIM
<p>He came in crawling</p><p>gently, swiftly, so quietly that you wouldn’t notice.</p><p><br/></p><p>He roamed all over the room, scanning everywhere.</p><p>After what seems like forever, he finally lay beside her.</p><p><br/></p><p>The next morning, he was there as she ate breakfast. She could feel him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tears slipped down her cheeks. She tried to fight it, but it was really hard.</p><p><br/></p><p>She sniffed.</p><p><br/></p><p>She went to her wardrobe to change into something suitable for her job hunt. As she searched through her wardrobe, she felt his presence again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Days passed.</p><p>Then weeks.</p><p><br/></p><p>She eventually discovered that she had started calling black red because her livelihood depended on it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yet she could still feel him.</p><p><br/></p><p>She noticed Mr. Him was making it obvious he was around her.</p><p><br/></p><p>Mr. Him’s presence was beginning to choke her.</p><p><br/></p><p>People started looking at her with disdain because of Mr. Him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Mr. Him became her only true companion. He refused to leave.</p><p><br/></p><p>She also noticed that her parents had stopped calling her because of him.</p><p><br/></p><p>She could feel him wherever she went.</p><p><br/></p><p>People started trampling on her because of him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Friends started avoiding her because of him.</p><p><br/></p><p>She wasn't allowed to speak because of him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Even when she was sick, she couldn’t afford to treat herself because of him.</p><p><br/></p><p>When she couldn't go out for a month, nobody cared because of Mr. Him.</p><p><br/></p><p>And now that she had finally ended everything,</p><p><br/></p><p>Mr. Him had won.</p><p><br/></p><p>People came around, spending on her burial the money they couldn’t spare for her while she was alive.</p><p><br/></p><p>And do you know who Mr. Him was?</p><p><br/></p><p>He was poverty.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
