The first time I stole I did it for survival, the next time I did it for fun, and the last time I did it without a reason. My life's field was a gamble and my biggest bet was on myself. I was bullish on and off the pitch like my guys said. I guess I was quite sporty. The first time myself and Nana saw Priest was on the pitch. Priest and his wolves rained hell on a school because some teachers tried to convince students not to join his gang. My annoyance was the fact that his boys seized our ball and taunted us. We showed them we weren't just kids. We waited for them behind the school fence and sprayed them with stones. It was then I suspected Priest had a thing for boys. He was furious when he saw one of his wolves flogging us. Priest dealt with him openly to the point that he was bleeding. That level of rage was unwarranted. Normally dem de lace niggas for street but y u go de stack up your home boy like that.

As Priest was leaving, myself and Nana approached him with our hands raised shouting Senior Man after you na you. He was quite amused at our courage. One more thing you should know is that Priest had a crown hanging on his neck. Werey pass werey sha. We started tracking Priests movement and we noticed a pattern. He visited a particular barbershop every Friday evening. We were hungry kids trying to prove a point to Priest that we could be useful to him.

One Friday afternoon we stole some fruits and meat from the market and headed straight to the Barbershop waiting for priest. I climbed the roof with Nana to scout what was happening inside. We thought we'd see something normal. How naive of us. We saw boys our age go in and they left looking somehow. Somehow was the best our minds could craft to match their countenance. We equally heard a few screams. Honestly we couldn't just understand. We then peeped through the roof and saw Priest abusing a boy. The boy was crying and struggling. Priest hit him with so much force that he slumped. Nana and I were grieved because the act was wrong and we knew that boy from our regular battles on the school field.

No child deserves that. We decided that day that we will be anything but powerless. There was so much hate in our hearts but sometimes the best way to push a man out of line is to be in his circle. We heard footsteps and we quickly climbed down and gave a performance of a lifetime. We told the wingman by the door we wanted to show workings to Snr Man Priest. The guy wasn't convinced and shouted at us. We ran away but what we witnessed stuck.

...

Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
