Most Christians still listen to worldly songs. It pains me a lot when I see Christians listening to worldly songs because they don't know what they're doing to themselves spiritually.

How can you be a Christian, someone who serves Christ, and still listen to or sing worldly songs?

This is exactly what we call an improper fraction. It is not balanced.

Who is a Christian, first of all? According to the Bible, the name "Christian" was first given to the brethren at Antioch because they behaved like Christ. This what being a Christian means.

So, if we say we are behaving like Christ, are we indirectly saying that Christ sang worldly songs? Of course we know that he did not. So if he did not, then we should not, for as Christians, Christ is our role model.

Do you know what worldly songs do to a Christian? They reduce you spiritually. How? You begin to imagine things you are not supposed to imagine. That alone gives room for the devil to penetrate and cause a lot of destruction; he can also bring in other things.

And how can you use the mouth that you use to worship and praise your maker to sing worldly songs? Can a vessel be used for bad and still be used for good? Can a sponge for bathing be used for washing plates?

Incase we don't know, most worldly songs glorify the devil. Kai! I watched a video recently where an artiste publicly said "The songs we sing glorify the devil."Can you imagine? It is clear enough.

I know it's not easy; it wasn't easy for me either. I loved listening to hip-hop worldly music a lot then, especially, asake's songs. In fact, I was so into it that I even prayed never to hate his songs. Kai!

Until I decided not to listen to or sing those songs again when I knew what they were doing to me spiritually. I am still trying to be close to God; I cannot forsake my relationship with God for anything else.

I also handed it over to God in prayer for Him to help me. We can also do same.

Just make up your mind to stop listening to songs that don't glorify God and ask God to help you. Every day ask Him to help you; don't ever stop so that you don't fall back to listening to those worldly songs.

Who told you gospel songs aren't interesting? In case you don't know, we have Afrobeat gospel songs from Prinx Emmanuel, Greatman takit, anendless ocean and so on.

My favorite Afrobeat gospel singer is Greatman takit. Try listening to his songs.

It is not every time that we need a song that makes us dance or gyrate; sometimes we need songs that makes us align with God, that makes us fellowship with God---gospel songs from Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Lawrence Oyor and the likes. There are a lot of them!

God will help us.

Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.

and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,

3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
