The blue sky
<p style="text-align: justify; ">Sometimes I catch myself staring at the sky for longer than I intended to.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Not because there is anything unusual about it, but because there is something about its emptiness that makes my thoughts louder. I begin to think about where I am, where I thought I would be by now, and all the places I once imagined myself reaching.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Some dreams have changed. Some disappeared without me noticing. Others are still somewhere in the back of my mind, waiting for the part of me that stopped being afraid to believe in them again.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">People often say, the sky is the limit.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">I used to hear it as a simple reminder to dream big. But the older I get, the more I wonder if the sky was ever really meant to be a limit. It is too wide for that. Too distant. Too open.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe the phrase is really about us.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">About the moment we convince ourselves that we have gone far enough. About the quiet voice that tells us to settle because trying again might hurt. About the dreams we shrink until they fit comfortably inside the life we already know.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And sometimes, I think that is the saddest kind of limitation, not being unable to reach somewhere, but never giving yourself the chance to find out how far you could have gone.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">So I look up again.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">The sky is still there, stretching beyond everything I can see.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And somehow, that feels like enough of a reason to keep going.</p>
