THE OWL HAS ALWAYS FASCINATED ME.
<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Not because it is the loudest creature in the forest, but because it knows how to be quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>While other birds rest through the darkness, the owl opens its eyes.</p><p><br/></p><p>It watches.</p><p><br/></p><p>It listens.</p><p><br/></p><p>It moves through the night without announcing its presence.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow, that makes me think about life.</p><p><br/></p><p>We often believe that being noticed means being loud. We feel the need to explain ourselves, prove our worth, show everyone what we are doing, and make sure nobody overlooks us.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the owl does none of that.</p><p><br/></p><p>It simply observes.</p><p><br/></p><p>It knows that not every movement deserves a reaction. Not every sound deserves an answer. Not every person deserves access to your thoughts.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, silence is not weakness.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, silence is wisdom.</p><p><br/></p><p>The owl also reminds me that darkness does not mean there is nothing to see.</p><p><br/></p><p>There are things you only notice when everything becomes quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>You begin to see people's intentions more clearly. You notice the little things you ignored when life was moving too fast. You hear your own thoughts. You understand yourself a little better.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that is why some seasons of our lives feel lonely.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps they are not always meant to be filled with people.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps some seasons are meant to teach us how to sit quietly, observe, and understand.</p><p><br/></p><p>The owl does not fear the night.</p><p><br/></p><p>It has learned to see through it.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe we should learn the same.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because sometimes, the very darkness we wish to escape is where we discover the vision we never knew we had.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe wisdom is not knowing everything.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe wisdom is knowing when to watch, when to listen, and when to remain silent.</p><p><br/></p><p>What do you think the owl teaches us?</p>
