<p>I saw a post on Instagram with the caption "The Person I Needed the Most Taught Me I Needed Nobody" </p><p>But sometimes I ask myself, is that really the truth? Is that what I actually want?</p><p>Or maybe it’s because their actions never met up with their words, and somewhere along the way, my heart was silently breaking and maybe amidst it all, I felt this urge to convince myself that this wasn’t what I wanted, so I ran, I hid, hoping that maybe I wouldn’t have to feel the need to depend on words that never came to pass</p><p>Maybe that was my brain saying, “I don’t want to get hurt again”</p><p>So I learnt how to detach myself, I learnt that my whole perfect love fantasy was just a facade and instead, I try to convince myself every day that I don’t need anybody</p><p>But it’s lonely and it’s agonising, especially when deep down, you know you’re living a lie</p><p>Living in a bubble built by fear and secured by avoidance</p><p>And maybe I have always been </p>
