<p>Sometimes, people only know the version of you that existed while they were around.</p><p>They remember your old habits, your old fears, your old dreams. But they never get to meet the person you became after they left.</p><p>You learned to be quieter.</p><p>You became stronger.</p><p>You stopped explaining yourself to everyone.</p><p>And maybe that's the strange part of growing, knowing someone who once knew you deeply might never know who you are now.</p><p>You don't have to go back just to prove that you've changed.</p><p>Sometimes, the best thing you can do is keep becoming someone your past could never have imagined.</p><p>Not everyone gets to meet the new you and that's okay. </p>
