<p>She is just not serious,</p><p>that’s what they say.</p><p>She doesn’t show up,</p><p>doesn’t try enough,</p><p>doesn’t care the way she should.</p><p><br/></p><p>They say it so easily,</p><p>like her life is something</p><p>they’ve already figured out.</p><p><br/></p><p>She is “ungrateful,” they add,</p><p>as if they can see her heart,</p><p>as if they know</p><p>what she whispers to herself</p><p>when no one is around.</p><p><br/></p><p>She is everything</p><p>they can name,</p><p>everything they assume,</p><p>everything that sounds simple</p><p>when you’re not the one living it.</p><p><br/></p><p>But they don’t see the mornings</p><p>where getting out of bed</p><p>feels like a battle she already lost.</p><p><br/></p><p>They don’t see</p><p>how heavy her chest gets</p><p>for no clear reason,</p><p>how her thoughts</p><p>won’t stay quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>they don’t see</p><p>how she tries...</p><p>in small ways,</p><p>in silent ways,</p><p>in ways that don’t look like effort</p><p>to anyone else.</p><p><br/></p><p>They only see the result.</p><p>The missed calls.</p><p>The late replies.</p><p>The empty space,</p><p>where she was supposed to be.</p><p><br/></p><p>So they call her careless.</p><p>They call her unserious.</p><p>And she hears it,</p><p>every word.</p><p><br/></p><p>She carries it with her,</p><p>adds it to the weight</p><p>she already can’t hold.</p><p><br/></p><p>But she doesn’t explain.</p><p>because how do you explain</p><p>a tired that sleep can’t fix?</p><p><br/></p><p>How do you explain a pain with no name?</p><p>How do you tell people you are trying your best,</p><p>when your best still looks like failure to them?</p><p><br/></p><p>So she stays quiet, she nods.</p><p>She apologizes, She promises to do better</p><p>even when she doesn’t know how.</p><p><br/></p><p>And they walk away,</p><p>thinking they were right.</p><p>Thinking they understood her.</p><p><br/></p><p>But they don’t, they never did.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it’s easy,</p><p>to describe someone from the outside.</p><p>It’s easy to judge a life,</p><p>you’ve never had to live.</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s easy</p><p>to say who she is...</p><p><br/></p><p>Until you know</p><p>what she is going through.</p><p><br/></p><p>~Liss Whispers </p><p><br/></p>
