I figured I should have dropped three or more insights on 2cent by now, but I was blanked. I like to call it being “jail-banned by my thoughts.” There are moments when the mind has so much to say that it somehow says nothing. Everything is there, moving, colliding, waiting for language, but the door refuses to open.

Today, I found myself thinking about success again. Not success as we inherited it, with its carefully arranged milestones and the quiet pressure to keep climbing. I mean the larger question: do I actually want the societal definition of success, or have I simply become good at imagining myself wanting it?

Because sometimes, I don't think I want much beyond freedom.

Not the dramatic kind. Just the freedom to unpreztel myself from all the invisible expectations I have somehow learned to carry. To become focused on a path that feels less like something I selected from a catalogue of acceptable lives and more like something I was placed here to discover.

But even that desire frightens me a little.
Because I am still figuring out whether I can grow into that reality without losing myself inside the process of becoming. There is a strange danger in growth: if you keep bending yourself toward every new version of better, eventually you may become very good at evolving and very bad at remembering who you were trying to preserve.
I don't want to spend my entire life strategizing my way through existence.
I don't want to become another worker ant in an enormous colony, endlessly moving, collecting, optimizing, preparing for some future moment when I will finally feel complete. I don't want my life to become a sequence of things I must achieve before I am permitted to actually inhabit it.
I want to utilize this life beautifully.
And perhaps that requires something simpler than another strategy.
A watermark.
Why?
Why am I doing this?
Who have I always been, beneath the versions of myself I keep constructing? Who did I once aspire to become before the world taught me what was practical, impressive, desirable, or successful? What genuinely makes me feel alive? What parts of myself do I need to preserve so carefully that they don't become casualties of my ambition?

And perhaps most importantly, what must I fossilize from now so I don't accidentally build the exact life I have spent years trying to escape?
So here I am, with an ink and a jotter, trying to document a mind that sometimes feels like a battlefield.
Maybe that isn't something I need to be ashamed of.
Perhaps someday this same mind will become a garden.
And when it does, I hope I don't look back at the war and wish it never happened.

I hope I can be grateful for the days that taught me how to fight, and even more grateful for the peace that finally taught me that I didn't have to.❤️

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
Below is a list of badges on TwoCents and their designations.
