<p>Who’s the devil?</p><p>Black face , two horns, with a wagging tail between his legs?</p><p>lol 😂 I guess that was our idea at the age of five </p><p>But do you really believe that now?</p><p>“A smile that could sweep your heart away “</p><p>Come on you think it comes in announced ?</p><p>Would you come in announced as a thief ?</p><p>That’s what I thought… you wouldn’t </p><p>You’d sneak in like one of them deceive them and when the time comes… you snatch it </p><p>That’s exactly how it works for either of us </p><p>Bad things do not come in announced, they either barge in or come unannounced </p><p>Well … well … well …</p><p>No one asked my opinion but I’ld give it </p><p>I think the devil is one of us </p><p>“ you think so don’t you?”</p><p>He lives within us driving us to do our desires</p><p>Our selfish heart contents </p><p>Murders , rape , theft , ruining our good work </p><p>Inconsiderate bosses , drunk husbands, corrupt leaders, as big as they might seem</p><p>Comes down to little thefts, little fights in the alleys of those neighborhoods then</p><p>We ruled it off as child’s play </p><p>But I think we were wrong </p><p>Because a child from an abusive home tends to grow up to be an abusive adult </p><p>An adult suffering from trauma, an adult unable to build a home, own a family, and that way the bitterness gets passed on</p><p>Like a bile when it smears meat .</p><p>We feed on our fear like food </p><p>Deceive people for our interest </p><p>Selfishness and greed consumes us </p><p>That love becomes a give or take affair ( that’s not for today though 🙂↔️)</p><p>But …. The devil is within us ,our demons </p>
