You’re Allowed to Become Someone Different.

Sometimes, the hardest part of growing is accepting that you’re no longer the person you used to be.

Your interests change, your priorities change.

The way you see life changes, even the things you once dreamed about may no longer feel right for you.

And that's okay.

But sometimes, we hold on to old versions of ourselves because we're afraid of what people will think.

We worry that people will say we've changed.

That we're becoming proud, that we're acting differently, that we've forgotten where we came from.

So we keep trying to fit into places we've already outgrown.

We keep saying yes to things we no longer want.

We keep pretending to be comfortable with situations that no longer align with who we're becoming.

All because we don't want anyone to misunderstand our growth.

But here's something I've been wanting to say to you, You don't have to remain the same person just to make other people comfortable, You're allowed to learn new things.

You're allowed to change your mind.

You're allowed to outgrow certain habits.

You're allowed to want more for yourself.

You're allowed to discover that the life you once wanted isn't the life you want to build anymore.

Growth will sometimes require you to make different decisions.

And not everyone will understand those decisions.

Some people knew you when you were unsure of yourself.

Some knew you when you had smaller dreams.

Some became comfortable with the version of you they understood.

When you begin to change, they may need time to adjust.

That's part of life.

You can appreciate your past without being trapped in it.

You can love people without agreeing with everything they expect from you.

You can remain humble while becoming more confident.

And you can honour where you started while working towards somewhere new.

Changing doesn't automatically mean you've become a worse person. Sometimes, it means you're finally becoming more honest about who you are.

Of course, growth also requires reflection.

Not every change is improvement.

It's important to remain kind, accountable, teachable, and willing to admit when you're wrong.

But don't confuse becoming a better version of yourself with betraying the person you used to be.

That person got you here.

Now, you have the opportunity to keep learning.

So, if you're changing, let yourself grow.

You don't have to explain every new decision.

You don't have to apologise for every new ambition.

And you don't have to keep living according to an old version of yourself just because people remember you that way.

Keep the lessons, keep the values that matter.

Leave behind what no longer helps you become the person you want to be.

You're allowed to evolve without asking everyone for permission.

And if your journey looks different now, perhaps that's because you're seeing life differently.

Give yourself room to grow, you’re still becoming.

Good morning and have a beautiful day ahead my dearest friend.😊🤗🤗
