CYRUS: [Looks at Jim and Jerry] Are ....are....you sure? JERRY: Oga talk wetin you go talk! CYRUS: What's that? While I was in the car with Mensa, the hefty man and the driver... my phone alarm rang. JERRY: Your alarm? Cyrus nods. CYRUS: 2 a.m.Jim looks at him. I wake up at 2 a.m. every day to read. JERRY:[rolls his eyes] Of course..... The scholar JIM: Jerry... CYRUS: The phone was with the hefty man at the front, beside the driver.He pauses.So, when the alarm rang, he turned to Mensa and handed him the phone apologizing that he'd forgotten to give it to him when he got back from the operation. JIM: What Operation? CYRUS: As he said that... he jerked his head in my direction. Jim's eyes narrow.JIM: That mean he was the one who kidnapped you. Cyrus nods CYRUS: I saw Mensa put the phone in his breast pocket. JERRY: And that's how you got it?Cyrus nods.When Mensa dropped dead... I took it from his pocket. JIM: [sighs] Oh goodness Jerry suddenly sits upright. JERRY: Wait.Cyrus looks at him.Your phone explains how you still had it but it doesn't explain how you got into this school before six in the morning.He pauses How did you get in? CYRUS: I know.....I was coming to that.Cyrus looks down as he exhales slowly. Silence. CYRUS: I took—He stops.Jerry waits.[Cyrus looks at them.]There is a secret underground passage. Jim's eyes widen.JIM: What? JERRY: Right under the school? Cyrus nods.CYRUS: There is a lot you don't know. Jim narrows his eyes.JIM: No, there is a lot you are not telling us. Cyrus looks toward the floor.Then slowly raises his eyes. CYRUS: Danyris... JERRY: We are here in the country ...Danyris....What about it? Cyrus looks at him. CYRUS: A significant history. I'm not surprised you've not heard about it. JERRY: Well, news flash! Jim and I are Nigerians who came to study in University of Twocents located here in Danyris. Need we remind you of that? JIM: Jerry it's okay.To Cyrus.Your entrance into the school has to do with a secret passage underground. That... I still cannot comprehend fully, but how does your entry through a secret passage has to do with the whole of Danyris. CYRUS: Because if you want to understand the passage and how I got here without you getting utterly confused and scared......Pause....you need to understand Danyris first.
