SUNDAY TWISTS_S4E3_unraveled (EXPO!!!)

NB: Freedom to come at me in the comments section is allowed.

EXPO!

ORIJO!

That one cooperation that can only be learnt in the examination hall!

Examination Malpractice.....

First things first, let's establish the basics about malpractice.

Malpractice is wrongful or improper conduct in the course of a particular practice.

Now, let's bring it back to the last week's twist revolving around education.

The first thing we must understand is what the established rules of that examination permit and prohibit.

Anything you do that violates those rules, no matter how beautifully you package it, is examination malpractice.

You call it cooperation.

Someone else calls it assistance.

Another person calls it "helping a friend."

But does changing the name change the nature of the act?

Here's another perspective: if an invigilator catches you doing it and you know it could get you disqualified or sanctioned under the examination rules, shouldn't that make you question what you're doing?

Of course, not every action that attracts an invigilator's attention is malpractice. But if you're deliberately doing something the examination rules prohibit, sugarcoating it doesn't make it acceptable.

ASSISTANCE DOES NOT HAVE TO BEGIN AND END IN THE EXAMINATION HALL.

You can teach your friend before the examination.

You can explain difficult topics.

You can share study materials, discuss questions from past papers, and help them prepare.

You can do all these things, even if you studied together.

But when the examination begins, the rules of that examination determine what assistance, if any, is permitted.

As blunt as it sounds, you cannot turn an act of academic dishonesty into an act of kindness simply because the person receiving the help is your friend.

Now, to the question of Christian integrity.

Does examination malpractice have anything to do with your faith?

ABSOLUTELY.

If a particular act violates the rules of the academic environment in which you find yourself, you must examine not only its academic implications but also its moral implications.

As Christians, we are called to demonstrate integrity in every sphere of life, not just within the four walls of a church.

Colossians 3:23 says:

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — KJV

Our faith should influence how we conduct ourselves in the classroom, the examination hall, the workplace, and everywhere else.

You cannot claim to represent Christ while deliberately compromising honesty whenever it is convenient.

Your faith is not suspended when an examination begins.

And neither should your integrity be.

EXPO O!

ORIJO O!

ASSISTANCE O!

All na malpractice....

PEACE ✋😌🤚
