Hotel Rwanda 🇷🇼 part 1 Nomshu

Hotel Rwanda: Part 1 – How I Ended Up in the Madness

Okay, so you know how life sometimes just throws you into wahala you never invited? That’s exactly what happened to me. I was just a 20-year-old Nigerian girll soft, sweet, maybe a little scared of big crowds just trying to live her best life. Then boom! I found myself in Kigali, Rwanda, right as everything was going upside down.

Imagine walking the streets, maybe buying some nice small chop, and suddenly the air changes. People’s faces, once smiling, now look like they swallowed lemon full of fear and tension. I’m like, “Is this part of some very bad movie or what?” But no, this was real life, and I was stuck like rice at the bottom of a pot, burning slowly.

Then I met Paul Rusesabagina. Now, this guy he was cool but serious. Like, he could have been your calm Nigerian uncle who tells you “everything go better,” but with the eyes that say, “But if not, I’m ready.” He worked at the Mille Collines hotel, turning that place into a fortress when all hell broke loose. Honestly, watching him was like watching a magician pulling hope out of thin air.

But trust me, it wasn’t all heroism and calm. There was fear, lots of it. People hiding, crying quietly, whispering prayers in languages I barely understood. And me? I was just praying I didn’t faint or die.

This is only the start. Hold on tight, because surviving Rwanda was no joke.
