Know your reality. Build beyond it.
<p>If you’re from a poor/average home and you know that there’s more out there for you and that you want to break the jinx, you have to be strategic like mad.</p><p><br/></p><p>Strategic with your education. This means that you can’t leave school with anything less than a 2:1.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then if you falter and realize you flunked school, you have to be strategic in other areas. If Person A is posting for fun on social media, you can’t do that. You have to be commercially minded. You have to be money-oriented. Treat your time as valuable. Be greedy like the Kardashians.</p><p><br/></p><p>Always be selling something, whether it is your skills, your self, your brain or your products. It can be subtle but the end goal should be to create a better perception of yourself in the minds of people so much that they are willing to give you money, opportunities or recommendations. </p><p><br/></p><p>If you don’t have support or money, have strategy. Strategy will win every time. </p><p><br/></p><p>Again, do not be afraid to sell and do not be afraid to be audacious and novel with your ideas because that is the fastest way to break through from the noise. Don’t waste time giving value that you forget to sell. Be willing to spend less time to get more. Be willing to use your unfair advantage. Do not believe that you must take the long and hard road to prove that you’re virtuous. Leverage connections. Milk what you’re good at or loved at. </p><p><br/></p><p>Decenter shame. Be ruthless with stripping off the weight of people or environments who encourage you to be small. Be ready to do it alone for a while. Your community will find you on the way.</p><p><br/></p><p>Be everywhere. Be incessant. Be persistent. Understand that your fight is different and act accordingly.</p>
