Postpartum psychosis and postpartum depression

This is my point of view and my stand on the Lindsay Clancy Case — Mental Illness, Justice & Accountability ‎(Postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis ) ‎‎after my research in this case of postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, I come to understand that the tiny line that made the difference between the two mental health cases, is the complication in the judgment. This means that, before you can make your judgement, you must be able to prove her mental state at the moment of the action. ‎‎As One Psychiatrist put it: In depression the mother thinks "I am a bad mother" but in Psychosis she thinks "my baby is in danger and I must send him to heaven to save him" ‎‎The argument: was she in depression or psychosis at the time of her actions? 🤔. This is why I said "the tiny line between the two". ‎‎Imagine in a my side where jungle justice do happens 🤔, before you could think of police or going to court, some people would have done the unthinkable 🤦. She might be accused of being a witchcraft 🤏. Normally a random guy in the street can never believe the mental health excuses. And this is why people need to be taught about this 🤷. To this we must not be in a medical field to be taught about what is life threatening challenges. ‎ ‎In my opinion: If the defendant can prove that she was having a postpartum Psychosis at the time of the action, the judge should discharge her. But if the persecutor can prove that it was a deliberate act disguised under the postpartum psychosis or even if the case is postpartum depression, then she should face the law 🙆. ‎To whom it may concern 🤷: the word Postpartum means "after birth". ‎Psychosis is when a person loses touch with reality, meaning her brain is seeing, hearing, or believing things that are not real, but to them it feels 💯 real (just like someone operating in a dream world). ‎Exampes: ‎Hallucinations: Sensing what is not there ‎Hearing voices nobody else hears ‎Seeing things others don't see ‎Delusions: Believing what is not true, and no one can convince you otherwise (2 Thessalonians 2:11 ‎And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ) ‎‎for example: ‎‎"My children are possessed" ‎"People are trying to poison me" ‎(church will say she is possessed with a demon 👿) ‎Confused thinking: ‎Thoughts are jumbled, racing, not making sense ‎( Can't tell what is real and what is not). While postpartum depression: Is self hate, anxiety, emptiness, loss of appetite, fear of staying alone with the child, seeing herself as a wicked mother etc , all these are after birth illness some postpartum mothers are facing. ‎‎To this: The family of the defendant should take the major blame for not being good observers. ‎‎It is also a call for awareness 👉 learn to be a good observer, especially to any mother in her early postpartum days, to avoid story that touches the heart 💔. ‎‎Note: this is not to support any form of murder or criminal offense, No 🙂‍↔️, it is to bring to our knowledge the humanity aspect of judicial system. Cases of murder can be interpreted in many ways: ‎‎For example: 1. ‎yes, it is obvious that I involved in his death, but it was accidental 2. ‎I acted in self defense and on the process he died. 3. ‎yes I killed him on a purpose 😔 ‎‎4. But I killed him when I was suffering from postpartum psychosis. ‎‎All these murder cases will be argued differently because of the reason behind the act 🤔, ‎‎My advice: All eyes 👀 should be on the Postpartum women, to prevent further occurrences of this kind of act, prevention is better than cure. ‎‎I carefully rest my case 🖊️ ‎Please consider upvoting and don't forget to engage 🤗 ‎
