<p><br/></p><p>I already said NO, does that make me a bad child??</p><p><br/></p><p>Was it ungrateful of me, to turn down family?</p><p><br/></p><p>They’ve done their part, is this my own part? To carry their responsibilities all my life? But wait, my shoulders are staring to hurt.</p><p><br/></p><p>Birthday money, Christmas money, school fees money, where does it all end??</p><p><br/></p><p>I want this, we need that..</p><p>Mummy is calling, my son, I want to set up a shop, to sell provisions and all, just something to keep me busy.</p><p><br/></p><p>Daddy is calling, young man, I need some money, I want to start farming, it’s productive and it’ll assist the family.</p><p><br/></p><p>Oh no problem, I’ll send something to the both of you by the end of the week. </p><p><br/></p><p>I’m the first son, so it’s my job??</p><p><br/></p><p>To do my best, and leave the rest.</p><p><br/></p><p>But who’s helping me?</p><p>I did my part, but why’s there always a new part?</p><p>Something’s always popping up, like an FYP.</p><p><br/></p><p>I keep on dipping and dipping, they don’t see my bills. I have two kids and a wife, I’m in a land of laws, when tax knocks my door, who born me well to say no. My kids will go to school, won’t they??</p><p><br/></p><p>You see dollars, I see legal tender, I burn my sweat, shift after shift. You convert, I survive. </p><p><br/></p><p>Don’t u want to give also? Come and work, you say NO. You’re not helping, I’m not being restrictive, but you’re not helping, you feel like a burden than a sibling.</p><p><br/></p><p>You remind me of that meme/sticker, that always stretching out her hand.</p><p>But we are family.</p><p>But why does blood feel like water?</p><p>Where’s that thickness, they all talk about.</p><p>It feels light and thin.</p><p>But then again, we are family.</p><p><br/></p>
