Let’s be honest: the way school life is portrayed in movies is almost nothing like real life. There are no sudden choreographed musical numbers in the hallway, and nobody walks around looking effortlessly put-together every single morning.

The real high school experience is a bizarre mix of routine, quiet anxiety, and unexpected fun.

Your day starts before the sun is fully up, groggily reviewing notes on your phone or trying to catch twenty extra minutes of sleep on the bus ride in. Once you hit the hallway, it's a non-stop rush. You go from a double-period class that feels like three hours long to a chaotic passing period where you have exactly four minutes to grab your books, run across the building, and avoid getting caught in hallway traffic jams.

Then there’s the academic side. The constant balancing act of tracking deadlines, surviving group projects where communication inevitably breaks down, and staring at a test page wondering if you accidentally studied the wrong unit entirely. The pressure to figure out your future while you're still asking for permission to go to the bathroom is a very real kind of stress that most people don't talk about enough.

But despite the heavy moments, the daily grind brings a specific kind of comfort you only appreciate when you’re in it.

It’s in the shared eye-rolls across the room when an assignment gets extended. It’s sitting at a cafeteria table debriefing weekend gossip or laughing so hard over something silly that you barely get to eat your food. It’s the unwritten solidarity you share with your classmates—knowing that even on the hardest days, you’re all getting through the exact same chaos together.

Years from now, you won't remember every quiz grade or lesson plan. But you will remember the people who made the long days feel a little shorter.

What’s the most relatable part of your daily school routine, or the one thing you wish people understood about being a student right now? At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
