Positions cannot move people to act.

What difference does your presence make?

One of the most underrated skill is getting people to have a sense of belonging in what you are planning, building or cooking.

I remember the first physical event I ever wanted to organize.

More than 40 people donated towards the cause.

I paused in my room and asked myself,

“Why did they act?”

Let me hit the nail on the head.

People act when they don't feel like spectators.

You need to remember that people are human before they are members, volunteers, ambassadors, executives, team leads or whatever title comes after their name.

They want to feel seen.

They want to know that their presence matters.

They want to know that they have something valuable to contribute.

Nobody wants to constantly feel like they are just filling up space.

The person you checked on yesterday might be the person who recommends you tomorrow.

The person who felt included might be the person who shows up when you need help.

The community you intentionally nurtured might become the network that opens doors you didn't even know existed.

I've seen people pay simply to access a community because of the way the they interacts, shares, connects and creates value.

And I know you're thinking groups and poaitions....

Not at all...

Your status, DMs....

The conversations you have with people.

The people who regularly interact with you.

The relationships you have built over time.

That's the little ecosystem you've built around yourself.

People become comfortable enough to tell you things they won't tell other people.

They speak without holding back.

They share, ask, contribute, give and grow.

And that is where the conversation about influence becomes interesting.

You can have hundred of people arround you who barely moves the needle in your life...yet you can have a small circle and have people who genuinely listen to you, recommend you, support you and show up when it matters.

So, what creates that difference?

What have they gained from knowing you?

What have you made easier?

What have you helped them see?

What value have you consistently added to them?

Those questions matter.

When people can answer them, something changes.

They listen, respond, show up, recommend you, bring opportunities to you, share information with you, remember you.

And, you've built something worth belonging to.

Now, before you say,

“I don't care.
