*無心録 — The Record of No Mind*

I didn't come here as one man. I came as a graveyard. There was the boy who wanted to be liked. The teenager who wanted to be feared. The man who wanted to disappear. Each one put on the armor. Each one walked into his own fire, and I watched him burn. They didn't die for glory. They died because surviving was the only jutsu they knew.

One of them learned to charge through the flames on horseback. Antlers on his helmet like a warning to the gods. Sword out, even when the world was already on fire. He taught me that discipline isn't calm. Discipline is riding _into_ it. When everyone runs from the heat, you kick your horse forward. That's the winter arc. No warmth. No crowd. Just the decision to attack.

Another version stood still in the same fire. Two swords, both lowered. He finally understood what the first one didn't: you can't cut fire. Some battles are not won by fighting harder. He learned to let go of the need to win every time, to let a friendship die, a dream die, a version of himself die. The strongest samurai is the one who knows which hand should stay empty.

You wouldn't know it from the mask. The demon face, gold catching the light. But under that iron, one version of me was soft. He cried after kills. He wanted to be held, not feared. He is the reason the armor still shines. Because even in war, I didn't let the soft one harden completely. I needed him. The world needs men who can wear a demon mask and still have a human heart underneath.

This one - he is my favorite. He lifted his sword over his head not to strike, but to offer himself. He broke. On purpose. His spine, his pride, his story - all cracked so the next version could breathe. We don't talk about him enough. The versions that didn't make it to the final cut, that failed, that embarrassed me, that got me laughed at. They broke so I wouldn't.

So now I ride again through the same fire. Same horse, same flames. But I'm heavier now. Not with armor - with them. The fighter in my right hand, the one who let go in my left, the soft one in my chest, the broken one in my back. I'm not one samurai. I'm a legion inside one helmet. That's why you can't kill me anymore.

Look. The fire is still behind me. It never went out. I just learned to stop running from it. I turn my back to it now, because it is mine. I survived my winter. Every weak version, every angry version, every soft and broken version - they all had to survive their season, so this one could stand here, finally still, finally whole.

無心録 — I am not reborn. I am assembled.
