I'm doing this for our future.</p><p><br/></p><p>Those were the last words she heard from him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Hours later, a phone call shattered everything. Adewale had been involved in a fatal accident on his way back from work.</p><p><br/></p><p>The man who always said, Tomorrow will be better, never saw tomorrow.</p><p><br/></p><p>At his funeral, people spoke about his success. They mentioned his businesses, his houses, his expensive car, and the money he had worked tirelessly to save.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then his young daughter asked a question that silenced everyone.</p><p><br/></p><p>Why did Daddy keep saying we'd go to the beach next month?</p><p><br/></p><p>No one answered.</p><p><br/></p><p>After the burial, Sade opened his drawer. Inside were envelopes labeled Family Vacation, Anniversary Dinner, and Gift for Mum.</p><p><br/></p><p>None had ever been opened.</p><p><br/></p><p>She realized he had spent years preparing to live, but had forgotten to live.</p><p><br/></p><p>Weeks later, Sade decided things would be different.</p><p><br/></p><p>She paid a struggling student's school fees with part of the savings.</p><p><br/></p><p>She bought groceries for an elderly neighbor.</p><p><br/></p><p>She took her children to the beach the same beach their father had promised.</p><p><br/></p><p>As they laughed together, tears filled her eyes.</p><p><br/></p><p>She finally understood that wealth is not measured only by what sits in a bank account, but by the smiles it creates in other people's lives.</p><p><br/></p><p>Years passed, and people rarely talked about Adewale's car or his houses.</p><p><br/></p><p>Instead, they remembered the scholarship that changed a boy's future.</p><p><br/></p><p>They remembered the widow who received help when she needed it most.</p><p><br/></p><p>They remembered the kindness that continued in his name.</p><p><br/></p><p>His possessions stayed behind.</p><p><br/></p><p>His impact did not.</p><p><br/></p><p>Â Moral Lesson</p><p><br/></p><p>Save. Build. Plan for tomorrow. But don't postpone kindness, love, or joy until "one day." None of us knows when we'll leave this world, but the lives we touch become the legacy we leave behind.</p>
