Boarding school experience 😭

If you told jss1 me that I would eventually become a boarding student, I probably would have laughed.‎I attended FGGC an all girls Federal Government College where you could either be a day student or a boarder. When I entered jss1 my parents refused to let me stay in hostel,according to them, I was pelenge, small and chinkinly😂. They were convinced that if they sent me to boarding school, somebody would beat me and deal with me.‎‎So,day student it was.‎‎But everything changed in jss2 when the school announced that there would no longer be day students. Everybody had to become a boarder.‎My parents were like, Okay can you go to boarding school?‎‎And me I was EXCITED😭‎‎I had always imagined that boarding students were enjoying their lives. I thought boarding school was just friends, gist, midnight conversations and having fun without your parents around.‎‎Ah.‎‎I was about to learn.‎The first day I entered the boarding house, my mother had packed plenty provision for me. And when I say plenty, I mean PLENTY😂. She packed enough to make sure her small daughter would not suffer.‎‎We kept our provisions inside our boxes, which were kept in the box room.‎‎So I went to sleep that night, happy and excited about my new boarding school life.‎The next morning, I opened my box.‎‎My provision was GONE.‎‎Everything.‎‎They didn't even have the decency to leave me something small. 😭‎‎The only thing they left me was ONE sachet of milk.‎‎One.‎‎I started crying immediately. I called my mother using my guardian's phone and told her that someone had stolen all my provision.‎‎My mother told my auntie, who was also in the school, to buy me another provision.‎My auntie bought it, and I carried it to the dining hall in my school bag. My plan was simple after dining, I would take it back to the hostel and put it safely in my locker this time around.‎‎But apparently, the people stealing my provision had not finished their assignment.‎They opened my school bag and stole THAT ONE TOO. 😭😭‎‎This time, somebody told me they had seen one of my friends carrying the provision from my bag.‎By the time i checked what was left, there were only two sachets of milk and two Milo.‎‎During night prep, we went to confront the girl.‎‎I was crying.‎‎I was accusing her.‎I was genuinely heartbroken because WHAT KIND OF WELCOME TO BOARDING SCHOOL IS THIS😭‎Eventually, we were told to take the matter to Mr Mbede our night prep supervisor.‎‎I will never forget that man.‎He was with Mr. Ola one of the teachers when we met them, and they asked us what the problem was.‎‎I explained everything how my mother had packed my provision, how it was stolen from my box, how my auntie bought another one, and how that one was also stolen from my school bag.‎‎They listened.‎‎Then they asked us to bring the remaining two sachets of milk and two Milo.‎‎Now, imagine me standing there crying over the little provision I had left to survive.‎‎And these two men?‎They carried my remaining milk and milo, started licking them right in front of me, and were there solving the case😭😭.‎‎I was looking at them like, "Sir that is literally my food😭😂"‎‎But little did I know that this was only the beginning of my boarding school adventures.‎ Part 2 is coming😭😂. My boarding school life is a whole film production that I can never forget😂
