Who dictates what beauty is supposed to looklike? Who decided that being fat is ugly and being slim is better🥲? Who decided that you have to be tall to be considered attractive, or that having full hair makes you more beautiful than someone who doesn't? Who decides what you should look like to be considered beautiful?

And honestly, who decided that having an iPhone makes you better than someone who uses an Android? Who decided that you need to own certain things to feel like you're on the same level as other people?

Sometimes, I wonder who made these rules and why we follow them without questioning them.

Don't get me wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to improve yourself. If you want to lose weight, gain weight, grow your hair, dress better, or get an iPhone, please go for it. There is nothing wrong with wanting better things for yourself.

But don't let the world dictate who you should be. Don't let people make you feel like you are less beautiful because you don't have a particular body type. Don't let anyone make you feel inferior because you use an Android instead of an iPhone. And don't let the things you don't have make you feel like you are not enough.

You can want to become a better version of yourself without hating the person you are right now.

I think sometimes we get so caught up in trying to meet society's expectations that we forget to ask ourselves what we actually want. We see what everyone is doing, what everyone is buying, and what everyone considers beautiful, and suddenly, we want those things too. Not necessarily because we like them, but because we don't want to feel left out.

And that's something worth thinking about.

You don't have to look like everyone else. You don't have to own what everyone else owns. You don't have to follow every trend to prove that you are beautiful, valuable, or worthy of respect.

At the end of the day, who decided these standards in the first place? And why should you spend your life trying to meet standards that someone else created?

Improve yourself because you want to, not because the world has convinced you that who you are is not enough.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
