Hollow Mentality: A letter to “You.”

Dear you, It is with great displeasure I write to you. Hold the pleasantries. I'm sick and tired of shallow, baseless, naked, and inauthentic mentalities. Replicated mentalities that lead nowhere. Who decided that you should think the same way they do? When did originality and uniqueness become a plague you run from? Why are you so scared of being different?What are you so afraid of?! Now, that I've gotten that out of my system, let's talk. You've heard me talk about fake intelligence, now let's talk about hollow mentality. There are several types of hollow mentalities. When people have the same boring, useless mentality that lead nowhere, I call it hollow mentality. Apparently, fake personalities and opinions have more value than authentic ones. The rise of the mega minds and the self-proclamied gurus in fields I didn't know had names got me thinking. What exactly is the problem? Or worse still, who? Who started this whole thing of baseless accusations, false promises and fake displeasure? It would be easier to say most of us are the problem. But is that really true? Is that something we're willing to consider? Are we willing to look into it? Recently there's been a rise in misogyny and feminism. Men want to dominate and women keep making sexist remarks. Don't get me wrong, both parties are right—in some ways. But what about those that shout “I'm a feminist!” Without knowing the meaning of feminism.Do you know the battle the women had to fight?Do you know the origin?We want equality, don't we? How about this? What if what we want is just equal human rights. That goes for both parties. What if men just want to be included, want to be seen, want to be felt, want to be heard? What if they're tired of carrying the baggage of loneliness and expectations? What it they're battling mental illnesses they don't dare talk about? What if there's a possibility that they're not evil? What if women just want peace? What if we just want to be seen and considered, to be heard without you gawking at our chests mid conversation? What if we just want sanity? What if we don't want to be seen as less relevant because of what is between our legs? What if those that don't believe there's a God have a good reason? What if they did believe but were not convinced? What if life showed them sides they couldn't heal from? What if when they needed to hear His voice, they heard yours? Sharing your baseless accusations and now they don't know what to think. What if in their state of distress no one came and when God tried to talk he was hushed? What if we all have a common enemy favouritism?Scratch that, it doesn't matter now does it? It has turned to a gender war. Time and again, it has happened. The great war between men and women. The war of would be partners who place the first domino. But wait… Has anyone stopped to think that this could just be puppeteering? What if you're acting under the influence of someone else' opinion. I'm not coming for the misogynists or the feminists or the atheists but hear me out, when will you have your own opinion? Not an opinion based on what others made you think. So many want to follow the crowd, they want to agree, they don't want to be left standing alone. But why don't we see it as it is? Uniqueness. It is important for you to know that, those ones that have the megaphones and the mega minds have no foresight. And blindly, you're following. You don't see it do you? You can't tell what the problem is can you? Fine, I'll tell you. Look! This is a plague, it's necrosis, it's cancer! It's eating deep into the fabric of society. Don't follow the puppeteers; don't follow the crowd. You're nothing but a pawn in their game. A NPC at best. So, what's the hollow mentality and why this letter? The mentality that we all want the same thing; that we all need the same thing. The uniqueness of similar mentalities does nothing to help us. Just because God said men should lead doesn't mean he said that all control belongs to them. He didn't say women shouldn't have rights, in fact, he loves his daughters and if men really didn't need women, he wouldn't have created them as a complement. But that's not a conversation you're ready for right? Look! In a world full of black markers, I'd rather be pink— soft, unfazed, current yet outdated, loyal yet questioning, inquisitive yet factual, curious yet careful. Bro, I'd rather be me! I'd let no one else' opinion be mine. But, please don't listen to my opinion. Make yours.
