IF WISHES WERE HORSES BEGGARS WOULD RIDE 🐴

I actually think this saying isn't true.

As we wish for our wishes to be horse(s) when last did we set our eyes on a horse not to talk of riding on them ? I know many will say 'haba ,I've seen several horses and even rode on them ....

me nko ? ......it's been months ,like months I last saw one (abeg no laff me 🤦😆😆)

Okay no qualms . Now what do we have to say about the beggars ? Is it the beggars that are struggling to get at least one square meal a day that will be bothered about horse or no horse ??

Everyone knows how scarce and expensive(I don't know🤷) ,horses are especially in rural areas ,so this proverb , if to be well explained, will mean.........

(1)Only the rich would be to ride horses and this will lead to their wishes being granted always and them becoming more richer

(2) The beggars will have to give up a lot of things to be able to ride a horse at least once e.g. they would have to become slaves to the rich or they would have to give out their families to the rich either as slaves, concubines etc. so as to have the resources to get a ride on a horse or get one .

With these few points, I think the suitable proverb should be *If wishes were SAND beggars would certainly gain free access to it * we all know that everything is scarce and expensive including water but one of the other things that can never get expensive is SAND, no matter what ,sand never dries up like water , it's everywhere and it is not sellable (not to be sold). It is for both the rich and the poor

Once again I think we should change the proverb , * if wishes were horse * to "if wishes were sand ".

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
