The 0.5 Inches . RESPECT
<p>Sometimes, you don't need to walk away.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, you just need to step back.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not five miles.</p><p>Not even five feet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe just 0.5 inch.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just enough to see things differently.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because when you're too close to someone—or to a situation—you can begin to believe that you cannot live without it.</p><p><br/></p><p>You mistake attention for connection.</p><p>Presence for necessity.</p><p>Being wanted for being valued.</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes, you hold on so tightly to something you never actually needed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then you step back.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just a little.</p><p><br/></p><p>And you realize:</p><p><br/></p><p>“Oh… I can actually live without this.”</p><p><br/></p><p>That realization may come with sadness. Maybe embarrassment. Maybe freedom. Maybe peace.</p><p><br/></p><p>But most importantly, it teaches you something about yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>You don't have to lower your standards simply because you're afraid of losing someone.</p><p><br/></p><p>You don't have to accept what hurts you because someone was once good to you.</p><p><br/></p><p>You don't have to keep every person who gives you attention.</p><p><br/></p><p>And you don't have to punish yourself for the version of you who didn't know this yet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Be gentle with her.</p><p><br/></p><p>She was learning.</p><p><br/></p><p>And you're still learning too.</p><p><br/></p><p>Keep your goals intact.</p><p>Have fun with people—and without people.</p><p>Learn to say “Nah.”</p><p>Keep striving.</p><p>Keep learning.</p><p>Keep fighting.</p><p><br/></p><p>And most importantly—</p><p><br/></p><p>Keep becoming.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because self-respect isn't always a dramatic goodbye.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, it's just that tiny step backward that finally lets you see yourself clearly.</p>
