The Person You’re Becoming Would Make Your Younger Self Proud

Sometimes, we become so focused on where we want to be that we forget to look back at how far we have come.

Think about the younger version of you.

The child who had big dreams without knowing how difficult life could become. The child who believed that growing up meant finally having all the answers. The child who looked at older people and wondered when they would become confident, successful, and completely sure of themselves.

That child is still somewhere inside you.

And if they could see you now, they might not care about how much money you have, how many followers you have, or whether you have achieved everything on your list.

They would probably notice something simpler.

You kept going.

There were days when you felt lost, but you continued. There were moments when you failed and wondered whether you were good enough, but you tried again. There were people who disappointed you, plans that collapsed, and dreams that took longer than expected.

Yet here you are.

Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming.

We often measure ourselves by what we have not achieved. We compare our lives with people who seem ahead of us and forget that everyone is walking a different road. Someone may have reached a destination you are still dreaming about, but that does not mean your journey is meaningless.

Growth is not always loud.

Sometimes growth looks like walking away from something that no longer helps you. Sometimes it is choosing discipline when nobody is watching. Sometimes it is forgiving yourself for mistakes you made when you did not know better.

And sometimes, growth is simply waking up and deciding to try one more time.

Your younger self would probably be amazed by the things you now consider ordinary.

The courage you have developed. The lessons you have learned. The responsibilities you carry. The difficult conversations you can now handle. The dreams you still refuse to abandon.

You may think you are behind.

But perhaps you are becoming.

Perhaps life was never asking you to become perfect. Perhaps it was asking you to become wiser, kinder, stronger, and more honest about who you are.

So stop measuring your progress only by trophies, grades, money, popularity, or applause.

Look at the person you are becoming.

Are you more courageous than you used to be?

Are you learning from your mistakes?

Are you becoming someone your younger self could trust?

If the answer is yes, then you have already achieved something worth celebrating.

One day, you will look back at this version of yourself too.

You will remember the uncertainty, the struggles, the small victories, and the nights when you wondered whether everything would work out.

And perhaps you will smile.

Because you will realize that you were becoming the person you once hoped you could be.

So keep going.

Your younger self is watching from the pages of your past.

Make them proud.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
