FATHERS DESERVE PRAISES TOO

Every day, I hear people say, “My mother is my life,” “My mother this, my mother that.” And then I ask, what about your fathers?

Aren’t they your all too?

Do they not matter?

Do they not put in the effort?

Are they just there to provide and not to be showered with love too?

People often say that mothers are more caring by nature than fathers, but aren’t there fathers who care just as much, or sometimes even more?

They say it is in a man’s nature to be a sole provider, but I still ask, do they not have other natures?

These are questions I have to ask, and many more.

Because I have watched my father play the role of both a mother and a father. Though he might not be perfect, his efforts have never gone unseen.

You see, double the effort is worth more than just one, and I can only imagine how tasking it is. As a matter of fact, I DO know how tasking it is because I am reminded of it every day.

Fathers too work tirelessly for the success of their children. They see their children as a source of joy and great achievement. They would give their all for the happiness of their children, even when there isn’t enough left for themselves.

One great thing I have learnt from my father is not to doubt him. Because no matter how difficult a situation may be, no matter how impossible it might seem, he always finds a way through God, who strengthens him.

Which brings me to my conclusion.

As an only daughter of four, I see that yes, a mother’s love is amazing, but what a father has to offer can go just as far.

And I would say that not all mothers are their children’s pride and joy. Some might see this and say, “Oh, she’s a daddy’s girl.” But if that is the case, then I will gladly accept it. 😂

He raised me in an environment with no special treatment and made me see more to life than what was directly in front of me. He doesn’t need to use his words because his acts of devotion to us are more than enough encouragement to BE BETTER, to DO BETTER.

So I ask, is this not reason enough why FATHERS DESERVE PRAISES TOO?
